Make legal requirement for Fathers too be put on there child’s birth certificate
Rejected

What the petition asks
There are so many fathers out there that want to see his child/children but can’t because his name is not on the birth certificate and the mother won’t let them.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
A parent who is not on the birth certificate can already re-register a child’s birth and add the father's details, whether or not the mother co-operates, so we're not sure what else you'd like the Government and Parliament to do.
You can find out more about how to do that here:

You can find out more about how to get legal help here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
