Petition · past parliament

Have a serious debate in to the reversal of the metric system, back to Imperial.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Although the science and Mathmatics use metric. We as a country still use Imperial measurements of inches, feet, yards, stone, pounds, and ounces more.
A consensus needs to be looked at, to possibly revert back to the original imperial system of measurement.
When Britain changed to the metric system in 1965, the gallon, was changed to litres, with no change to the cost. The division of imperial, means more produce for your money. Instead of dividing things by tens for ease.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition calling on the Government or Parliament to move the UK back to the imperial system, if that's what you would like to see happen.
