What the petition asks
It has become self evident in recent years that certain amount of flouting of the law around electoral behaviour has been happening. This corrupts our democracy, these laws were brought in to level the playing field for all candidates in a free and fair election.
Fines are not an adequate deterent.

Fines don't work as these are just written off as election expenses which means the wealthier can ignore our laws, that is not acceptable.
Anyone found flouting these laws should have criminal action taken against them and be removed from any government office
