What the petition asks

Oldham Council have shown a level of incompetence of the governance of Saddleworth and Towns Folk Of Oldham this past 4-decades. This has resulted in our Town now being in the list of the top ten “crapiest” towns in the UK. Also previously been named as one of the worst run Councils in the U.K.
We the undersigned ask HM Government to transfer all Governance, (including planning and distribution of all rates collected in the borough of Saddleworth), from Oldham Council to Saddleworth Parish Council.

Our once thriving, vibrant community is being dismantled by a Council (OMBC), who we the undersigned feel is not fit for purpose.

Saddleworth Parish Council is made up of elected area representatives. The ramifications of all decisions made for the future of our Children and Grandchildren.
