Petition · past parliament

Call a General Election because we have no confidence in the current Government.

What the petition asks

The Conservative Government, in devoting time to disastrous attempts to negotiate a withdrawal agreement with the European Union which commands the support of the House of Commons, has neglected crucial issues such as tackling homelessness, problems with NHS and other important domestic issues.
Austerity is estimated to have killed 120,000 people between 2010 and 2018.

Almost a third of children in the UK live in relative poverty.

According to figures from Homeless Link, during the autumn of 2018, 4677 people were sleeping rough in England alone on any one night.

The NHS has a staffing crisis and is chronically underfunded. 20000 nurses have quit since the Conservative Government came to power. Waiting list times are rising.

This is a shameful record and action is required.
