What the petition asks
In order to address the housing affordability crisis, non-resident investors should be banned from buying up UK homes. Wealthy foreign investors who presently own UK housing should also be heavily taxed in order to encourage them to sell their properties.
For many young people living in the UK, the cost of housing is well beyond what they can afford to pay and it is an absolute disgrace that our young people are being outbid by wealthy non-resident investors.
