'Parliament to form a Government of National Unity to stop a no-deal Brexit'

What the petition asks
Ideally, this coalition consisting of Labour Party, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, SNP, Plaid Cymru, DUP and Independents co-led by the mother and father of the House, Kenneth Harry Clarke CH QC (Con) and the Rt Hon Harriet Harman MP (Lab), or anyone capable of securing a majority.
All that matters is whether a GNU leader can command the support of a majority of the House. Whoever they are, is frankly irrelevant, and those who cannot command a majority should step aside. The role of the GNU should be:
1. Stop No-deal Brexit
2. Extend Article 50
3. Call a general election (and step down).
MPs are still placing ambition ahead of the country's wellbeing. Strategies of noncooperation are increasing the likelihood of a no-deal Brexit, and history will remember you as such.
