Call an International State of Emergency over Climate Change
Rejected

What the petition asks
Over the past year there has been an uncountable amount natural disasters, destroying cities, towns and most importantly nature. The most recent one being the Amazon Rainforest which has been on fire for a total of 16 days and has had little to no coverage on TV until today. We need action TODAY.
The Amazon Rainforest is the lungs of this planet, the biggest carbon sink in the world and it is being burned down due to anthropogenic causes. This as well as flooding, non-stop temperature changes, severe rainfall, hurricanes, earthquakes and more have been putting all species lives at risk, including us, but most importantly our endangered species.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This would be a decision that would need to be made jointly with the leaders of different countries or with agreement from members of an international organisation, rather than the UK Government or Parliament alone.
