What the petition asks
Retain all compulsorily purchased land in public ownership, provide a footpath, a cyclepath and a bridleway along the entire length with free access points every mile.
Permit a network of eco friendly cafes and cam sites along the route.
Promote healthy exercise and holiday oppportunities for all.

Planting trees is vital to counterract carbon pollution and there has already been planning for new national forests. The HS2 route provides a perfect opportunity as the land has already been compulsorily purchased.
