The UK should provide aid to Brazil to put out the Amazon Rainforest Fire.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

The Brazilian government claims they do not have the resources to put out the Amazon Rainforest fires. This is a global problem. The forest provides 20% of the oxygen on this planet.
The loss of the Amazon rainforest is a global problem. "President Bolsonaro says his government lacks the resources to battle the record number of blazes." "Satellite data published by the National Institute for Space research shows an increase of 85% this year in fires across Brazil, most of them in the Amazon region." -BBC News. This is a global crisis that needs global involvement. The UK must get involved in providing aid to Brazil to put out the fires and discuss ongoing deforestation.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

The UK Government has already made aid available, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. You can find out more here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do, for example a petition calling for an increase in the amount of aid.
