What the petition asks
As someone who has received an enormous amount of online trolling/abuse I have thought tirelessly on how we can help try to put a stop to this and help prevent more people using social media in a negative way. I believe if social media platforms required an ID from users this would definitely help.
I myself receive a lot of abuse and trolling on social media and strongly believe if the big social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc) required ID from it’s users it would most definitely help lower the amount of people who are victims of online hate and cyber bullying by making it’s users more accountable for the content they post online
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
