What the petition asks
On August 28th Prime Minister Boris Johnson undermined our democracy, we, the undersigned believe that we can not support the Rt Hon Mr Johnson as our representative and believe he must call a general election before October 31.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for a vote of no confidence.
We used to accept petitions that called for a vote of no confidence. However, the Petitions Committee can’t schedule votes of no confidence. This was often frustrating and disappointing for petitioners.
