Petition · past parliament
Suspend National Democracy Week until democracy is restored to the UK.
Rejected

What the petition asks
National Democracy Week runs from 14th to 20th October this year. Given the prorogation of parliament, and the general state of democracy at Westminster, we the undersigned believe that National Democracy Week should be suspended. It can be reinstated when democracy itself is reinstated.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly under what conditions you'd like National Democracy Week to take place, as Parliament will reconvence from 14 October.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
