What the petition asks
We are in a time of climate awareness and climate emergencies. We need to think of every way possible to get from A to B without relying on transport using fossil fuels. Electric scooters are a clean, fun way of commuting to work and schools and should be allowed to be used in public areas
The US, Canada, Spain, New Zealand, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland all encourage the use of electric kick scooters and we should follow suit.
With the use of head gear, lights and speed restrictions electric kick scooters can be a safe way of getting around
