Have a referendum not a General Election
Rejected

What the petition asks
A general election to "Choose who goes to Brussels on the 17th to sort this out" ultimately means a General Election purely about Brexit. A proxy referendum with consequences about domestic policy that will be overshadowed by the issue of Brexit.
People will be asked to decide if they want Boris' Conservative party (Brexit at any cost) or remain or only leave with a deal across other parties. This means people who are stanuchly against austerity but for BREXIT will be forced to vote for Conservative MPs. Or those who are stanuchly against a labour government but also against Brexit will have to vote to get in a government they don't want. To see the kind of Brexit the people want hold a referendum asking that question not a GE!
