MPs need to behave properly, at least in parliament. Update the Code of Conduct

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Jacob Rees-Mogg's slouching last night is the last straw.
Our MPs heckle and jeer instead of leading our country. No-one listens, and frankly I'm fed up with this international laughing stock.
MPs need a Code of Conduct that includes how to debate respectfully, much like children need rules.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

A code of conduct already exists for MPs, so we are not sure what else you would like Parliament or the Government to do.

You can read more about the Code of Conduct for MPs here:
https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmcode.htm

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for changes in the code of conduct if that's what you would like to see happen.
