Hold a second referendum on leaving Europe before any general election

What the petition asks
3 years ago we didn't know what we were voting on, we have now seen the implications of what is going on with Europe, we need a second referendum before any general election to stop the election from being solely focused on brexit.
We need to separate brexit from governance of the country, a second referendum will show a clear will of the people and give the government a mandate regardless of the ruling party, this will allow the country exit the EU or not whilst electing a government on its merits and policies not just its stance on brexit
