The largest ever turnout of 17 million voted to leave the EU in 2016. In 2017, they reaffirmed their commitment to leaving by voting for the conservatives who promised to deliver on this.
It is not right to change the rules of a game once it has started to play by established rules. Or to change the law once a case is under way in court.
Making it up as you go along should be a crime; this is reminiscent of a rogue state.
