What the petition asks

SF6 gas ommits far more greenhouse emissions than CO2 and is used regularly in the electricity industry. It has been discovered that leaks from these facilities in the UK and the rest of the EU in 2017 were the equivalent of putting an extra 1.3 million cars on the road.

Scottish Power Renewable's new wind turbine plant in the North Sea has been able to find alternatives to the gas despite being one of the largest windturbines ever built, giving other firms no excuse.
Signing this petition will create the pressure needed for electricity companies to seriously consider their usage of the gas and look for alternatives.
