What the petition asks
This petition is very important to me and my family... people use the sexual assault and rape accustion to punish people for their own personal issues.. this can ruin lives!
In my opinion people should be punished weither it be a warning or other punishment!
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Making a false allegation of a crime can already lead to a prosecution, for example for wasting police time or perverting the course of justice, so we're not sure what else you'd like Parliament and Government to do.
In any case, we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The police and the Crown Prosecution Service are responsible for deciding whether to charge people with a crime and the courts are responsible for sentencing. The police, CPS and the courts all operate independently of both the Government and Parliament.
You could start a new petition asking for a specific change to the law.
