What the petition asks
A lot of victims are now turning detective to solve car theft. Most victims now turn to social media tools that have been created to help and support victims but this is not enough .Something has to be done if not now when ?
There has been a recent increase in car thefts in UK .Honest hard working citizens are waking up to find their cars stolen in the morning the less fortunate are being physically assaulted as they try to fight for their priced possession from being illegally taken from them. As it is most motorists are left helpless and the police do not help much to try and recover stolen cars .Insurance companies sometimes do not pay out and if they do its never the equivalent of what the victim has suffered
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you're concerned about car thefts but we're not sure exactly how you'd like to strengthen the law or the cirucmstances in which you'd like to see garages and car breakers receive heftier fines.
There are already a wide range of penalties, including fines, for handling stolen goods available to the courts. You can find out more here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
