The Government to review and then modernise the Treason Acts.

What the petition asks
The Treason Acts have been brought forward for many hundreds of years without proper amendment and times have changed. The offence of Treason must reflect and have regard to the global and digital age especially with rapid developments in Artifical intelligence.
The last time there was any form of alteration was on 30th September 1998 when The Treason Acts 1790,1795,1817 were revoked. This should be reviewed as part of the discussion to modernise this offence. Those adjustments 20 years ago did not take into account possible offences by or through globalisation. The house may wish to consider how external imperatives and overseas Treaties surrounding trade development may inadvertently impact national security.
