What the petition asks
The U.K. government should reconsider a rescue plan for Thomas Cook and its employees. The government should take an equity stake which would give Thomas Cook breathing space to work out a plan for continued trading. It would give the 9000 UK employees some hope of keeping their jobs.

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Thomas Cook entered into insolvency proceedings and ceased trading on Monday 23 September.
