Remove prorogation completely as an option for the Prime Minister of the UK
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
After the Supreme Court ruling against the current prorogation, it is clear that this power is too easy to abuse and makes it too easy for Prime Ministers to shut down our democratic state and do whatever they want rather than the will of the country. Prorogation does not belong in the modern age.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
