Petition · past parliament

Ask the PM why he thinks 26% of the population more important than the other 74%

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

In June 2016 there were approx 65.6 million citizens of the UK. 17 million (26%) voted to leave the EU, 48.2 million (74%) did not.
Demographic analysis shows that many of those who voted (primarily leave voters) have since died and many of those who were too young to vote in 2016 have now reached the age of majority and that they are primarily in favour of remaining in the EU. Can the prime minister explain why it is necessary to respect the vote of a minority 17.4 million and disrespect the more than 48 million who did not vote to leave the European Union.
