What the petition asks
Breathing in wood smoke could be as harmful as breathing in passive tobacco smoke. As such wood burning should be banned. If you can smell wood smoke you are breathing it in. Whilst smoking in public places is banned, neighbours to wood burning stoves are not protected from the harm done.

A 2022 Eco-Design stove in perfect conditions emits the same Particulate Matter as 18 diesel cars. Children and those with respiratory conditions are most at risk. Wood burning also emits large quantities of black carbon which contributes to Climate Change.
