What the petition asks
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For a century, they've helped former servicemen and women with mental health problems. The work they do is life-changing and life-saving. Without the funding services are having to be cut at a time when veterans are most in need
The loss of NHS England's funding is equivalent to 20 per cent of the charity's total annual income, Combat Stress provides the UK's only residential treatment for veterans with trauma-related mental health problems. Highly trained staff have specialist knowledge of veteran trauma. Their unique combination of psychological and psychiatric treatment, and occupational therapy benefits the most unwell veterans. The Government as a minimum owes this to our veterans for the Service they have given.
