What the petition asks
Give us the sensible, democratic solution NOW: a national ballot on any Deal, or else a runoff vote on the feasible plans for proceeding or cancelling*. No blame-game GE! No blood-in-streets Crash Out!** Let’s SORT THIS!
*Feasible Plans are those which uphold Good Friday Agreement and avoid chaos through a managed transition, eg agree exit with Ireland-only backstop & negotiate FTAs /agree exit & negotiate Customs Union /agree exit & negotiate EEA /Cancel Brexit. Such a vote needs consensual Electoral Commission public info and obligatory balance in all media. **"Blood-in-streets" refers to a) Likely consequences of No Deal in Northern Ireland and b) "Disaster capitalism" (see William Rees Mogg).
