What the petition asks
We believe that in order to be able to vote in all elections and referenda, proof of citizenship and photo ID should be mandatory.
This would stop people from voting who are ineligible to do so.
Only registered, qualifying citizens should be allowed to vote.

In addition, it would help put an end to voter fraud which is widespread in some communities.

Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
