What the petition asks

After watching Motorway Britain 60 years of speed ....I feel that thing need to change on the network of roads in the uk ESPICALLY WITH THE ALL LANE RUNNINGS ....LANE 1 NEEDS TO BE CLOSED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9PM TO 5AM

For example there are over 140 miles of all lane running smart motorways

Now yes I personally think they are a good idea during the day but at night time 1 lane should be closed to allow it to be used as a hard shoulder in emergencys ..because lets face it ....your broken down on the side of a motorway ..many people just phone their breakdown company then wait with the vehicle
...too many accidents because of these bring back the HARD SHOULDER BY CLOSING LANE 1 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9PM TO 5AM
