Affordable mortgages/homes for nurses

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

My daughter is a nurse , having to live with her parents as she is low paid and unable to get a mortgage.
We live in SE England , rents are also ridiculously high as well as owning your home.
Nurses are undervalued in this country. Low paid and hard worked!

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you're concerned about affordable housing for nurses but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

There are already affordable home ownership schemes for households on lower incomes. You can find out more here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, for example calling for a specific Help to Buy scheme for nurses or calling for increased pay for nurses in the NHS.
