What the petition asks

if you are a working carer you do not get free perscriptions, however caring for someone helps the government form paying for carers however to try and work and provide care can and is extremely stressful and is extremely detrimental to your health and having to pay for perscriptions does not help

my mum had FTD which is a horrible form of dementia and for over 3 years this has caused me to need depression tablets and anxiety, painful backaches and yet I have had to reduce my working hours but yet still pay for my perscriptions myself. if I wasn't a carer I would not have needed to be prescribed the drugs. so I do believe the government should accept carers as the backbone of our country and support them
