What the petition asks
Homework is draconian and was originally intended as a punishment to those who misbehaved in the classroom and was conducted to do the homework at home as a form of punishment.
In modern society it should not exist especially with mental health becoming a greater concern.

A survey conducted by Stanford university found 56% of students considered that homework is a primary source of stress, and that too much homework could result in the following: lack of sleep, headaches, exhaustion, and finally weight loss.
