Make Coronavirus testing kits available to the public by post.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

The government needs to make mass testing possible in order to track and isolate the spread of the disease. Create a mailable kit that can be self-administered and either posted back or dropped off in a large bin (like a bottle bank) which is emptied daily.
If we don't know if we have it - we can't self isolate. Any of us could have it right now and be walking around infecting our families, friends and co-workers. But if we had a way of self-testing new could isolate ourselves

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The conduct of tests is a clinical decision for the NHS, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could start a petition calling for the Government to provide additional resources to increase their testing capacity, if that's something you'd like to see happen.
