Allow symptomatic health professionals the coronavirus test

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Allow symptomatic health professionals to have the coronavirus test even if no direct contact. Presently they can only have the test if they returned from a high risk area or had direct contact with a case.
10% of Italian doctors are infected. Testing health professionals who are sick with high fever etc is necessary to protect their patients, colleagues and families and in order to maintain NHS business continuity. These doctors may have been on the tube, at mass gatherings etc. This is a ticking time bomb but the government has a chance to mitigate damage by acting NOW!!!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Testing is a clinical decision for the NHS, not the UK Government or Parliament.
