Reform PIP assessments

What the petition asks
Have private companies, such as IAS, stop doing assessments for PIP and have a government division with disability advocates and specialists and real health professionals do assessments. Allow a Universal Credit disability decision to be part of the decision making process.
I would like this to happen as current firms providing assessments have paramedics and general nurses do assessments these cannot truly write a report on complex medical problems and don’t have experience of knowing how complex cases can affect someone's day to day living. These people get bonuses for doing extra assessments, how can they remember every detail (missing the most important details)! It affects disabled people so much it's unfair.
People with long-term conditions shouldn’t have to go through this process again, the Government should use lifetime awards for people with serious conditions with a legal requirement for them to tell DWP if their circumstances change.
