What the petition asks
Stephenson's Rocket was built in Newcastle but won the Rainhill trials in 1829. It deserves to permanently live in the Manchester Museum becuase it was built for Manchester. We petition Parliament to help get the Rocket moved.
Stephenson's Rocket was displayed in the Manchester Science Museum recently and my dad and I enjoyed seeing it and think it should be home!
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Decisions about exhibits are made by the museum, not the UK Government or Parliament.
