Rejected

What the petition asks
Maternity rights are being stripped from self-employed mothers as a result of the new Off-Payroll (IR35) tax. This is completely unacceptable.
Reinstate the maternity allowance for self-employed mothers
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Mothers who are not entitled to maternity allowance will now be eligible for other benefits. You can find out more here:

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
