What the petition asks

This petition asks for the abolishment of Value Added Tax (VAT) on Audiobooks.
Vision impairment is classified as a disability and a protected characteristic by the Equality Act 2010. eBook VAT abolishment in December 2020 provides sighted citizens benefits that visually impaired persons will not experience via audiobooks. This arguably constitutes discrimination towards visually impaired persons pursuant to section 13 Equality Act 2010.
