Legally ban the Niqab, balaclava & item that impedes facial features.

What the petition asks
I would like the government to pass into Law a complete outright ban on the wearing of the Niqab, balaclava and any other item of clothing that distorts the collective facial features of an individual.
People have a right to feel safe on the streets of Great Britain, when an individual covers their cheeks, lips, nose, chin and collective facial features, it evokes and causes unnecessary feelings of fear, insecurity, unease and difference. Everybody in the UK has the right to feel safe at all times and should a crime be committed, CCTV must be unhindered in finding those criminals using facial recognition surveillance. The covering of the face is unacceptable and unnecessary in modern Britain.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Ban wearing face coverings in public places.
