What the petition asks

Please immediately start mandatory Covid 19 testing for all those with symptoms and those who have been in contact with them. The longer we hide the true figures of this disease in our community, the faster our heath system and health care personnel will be overwhelmed.

South Korea (with a fatality rate of just 0.6%) is testing tens of thousands of citizens a day and quarantining them in order to reduce the spread of Covid19. The WHO praised South Korea’s approach as the correct one during a pandemic. It will be impossible to reduce an exponential increase in cases, and therefore, the overwhelm of health care services, if mild and asymptomatic cases continue to spread the disease in our communities. Test now and test widely to prevent unnecessary fatalities.
