Compensate Student Nurses Who did not benefit from the reinstated bursaries
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
Current student nurses who have suffered from the government’s decision to cut off the bursary, need to be compensated or have part of their loan written off.
Student Nurses are a big part of the NHS. We work side to side with staff nurses to uphold the standard of care in hospitals. We are frontline staff and are often put in stressful and intense situations. Along side intense burden of study from universities. We are expected to work full time hours and of such cannot work during university to support ourselves or we would risk failing. I’ve watched my colleagues go through extreme mental breakdowns with little or no support. We need compensation!
