Guarantee a minimum of 10,000 Coronavirus tests a day for the next two months

What the petition asks
Only some critical cases who have been abroad or in contact with infected people are being tested for COVID-19. This is preventing the public from getting access to the real number of people infected and take adequate action, in order to avoid overwhelming the NHS in a few weeks time.
We need the UK government to be transparent with the public and get everyone who shows symptoms tested, getting updates every 24 hours on how the situation evolves.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: Provide publicly accessible testing for the covid-19 virus around the UK now.
