What the petition asks
As a consumer I feel that even eating in a restaurant we should know where the meat was sourced and how it was slaughtered. This should be clearly marked on their menu and websites.
This will give their customers a choice due to religion or ethics.

I have recently found out that a lot of restaurants serve halal meat without informing their customers. I do not agree with halal slaughter as I think it is cruel and will not to eat meat killed this way. Also my preference is to buy British products where possible.
Surely I should be given these same options when I dine in restaurants. It should be made compulsory for origin and slaughter to be advertised clearly.
