Public Vote of 'No Confidence' in the Prime Minister
Rejected
12 signatures
What the petition asks
The Prime Minister must be removed from his position of authority immediately.
His strategy to allow 60% of the UK's population (approx 45m people) to become infected with COVID-19 in order to develop a 'herd immunity' is going to result in hundreds of thousands of avoidable deaths.

There is a profound disagreement in the scientific community about how to address COVID-19. The Prime Minister is unfit to perform his duties, by following the theory of herd immunity. It is not a scientific choice, it is a political choice.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept petitions about appointments, which includes calling for Ministers, including the Prime Minister, to be sacked or for a vote of no confidence.
We used to accept petitions that called for a vote of no confidence. However, the Petitions Committee can’t schedule votes of no confidence. This was often frustrating and disappointing for petitioners.
If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or the House of Commons, you could start a petition about that.
Petitions calling for action on policy are more likely to be an effective way of achieving the change you want.
You might want to know that the Government has set out that 'herd immunity' is not a strategy. You can read a recent comment by the Health Secretary here:
