What the petition asks

Due to Corona Virus Pandemic, those who are cancelling their travel. Airlines must provide full refund to them. It is unfair, in these extremely difficult circumstances, when people may have, squeeze in their personal finance. They may have to loose their money if they don’t want to travel.

Although, Airlines are giving opportunity to their passengers for free date change, catch is that they may have to pay fair difference. It is not fair on passengers, those who are changing their travel dates due to Corona Virus epidemic pay extra money. In contrary, in some airlines, if lower fares are available on the new date of travel, they don’t pass that benefit.
Those who are going on holidays it is not necessary that they can plan holidays within the period of time provided by airlines.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Individual airlines and travel companies are responsible for setting policies and making decisions about refunds.

You could start a petition calling on the Government to create a fund to reimburse people who have lost money because they have cancelled plans due to coronavirus.
