Prevent perpetrators accessing children conceived through rape or sexual assault

What the petition asks
Perpetrators of rape and sexual assault should not be allowed access to children conceived as a result of rape or sexual assault, even under supervised conditions. Children and women who are victims of these crimes need protecting.
Victims of rape and sexual assault experience enormous suffering and it is especially difficult for parents of children who were conceived as a result of sexual assault or rape. Birthing these children and building a bond with them can be difficult beyond words. To survive what they do and love those children only to have the perpetrators apply for access and to be on the birth certificate is awful.
In many cases access is granted under supervised conditions but this can cause extreme distress to the victim! It needs to change.
