Resurrect Flybe if government assistance is arranged for UK aviation industry
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
If the UK's Aviation industry's request, lead by Virgin group but supported by other UK airlines, for financial assistance is approved there should be action taken to resurrect Flybe either re-starting the airline or building a new one prioritising ex-Flybe staff for employment.
Regional connectivity is critical to those of us who do not live in the 'opportunity areas', Flybe provided so much of that connectivity. Projects like HS2 focuses on connecting wealth cities and do nothing to help the regions. Bring back the vital connectivity needed for those who live in all 4 corners or the UK.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The UK Government is not responsible for the operations or activities of individual companies, and is also not responsible for directly running airline operations.
