Top up statutory sick pay so people dont have to choose health vs. Paying Bill's

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Top up statutory sick pay per week to ensure people stay in self isolation if vulnerable or have the virus. One way may be to get mortgage companies and landlords to introduce a payment holiday so may not be paid to the individual.
People will compromise their own and the health of others if they are asked to self isolate but cant afford to do so. People cant afford to buy food to lasg 16 weeks and wont be earning enough to cover all basics if they earn £94 per week when they work and live to their means on a full time wage.
