What the petition asks

I'm asking for the government to order mortgage companys and banks to halt the repayment on mortgages for 6 months or until this mass pandemic is over.

I have recently been made redundant like my 2400 colleagues due to the demise of Flybe due to coronavirous, but many more airlines and businesses face the same fate.
Many on ssp or paid/unpaid leave and temporary lay offs. Hard working people wont survive on these payments for long before we get into debt and losing our homes. The country already have a shortage of affordable housing. Help sort this before we are in an even bigger mess.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
